About the Band

Red Hook Orchestra is fast becoming one of New York City’s busiest and most popular event bands. Made up of some of NYC’s most sought after musicians the members of Red Hook Orchestra have toured, recorded, and performed with Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, Bill Withers, Dido, Scandal, and Air, amongst many others.

Formed in 2009 by the bandleaders of the Dexter Lake Club Band, Red Hook plays a mix of classic rock, 80’s, and early soul and R&B. RHO provides a high-energy performance by a group of young musicians who love what they do, in contrast to the legions of bands of tired 50-year-olds playing “Celebration”, “Y.M.C.A.”, and “I Will Survive.”

Red Hook Orchestra has performed over one-hundred private and public events appearing at some of the top venues and event spaces in New York, throughout the United States, and North America including the Bowery Ballroom, Knitting Factory, Rockwood, the Bowery Hotel, Steiner Studios, the New York and Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Prospect Park, Tribeca Rooftop, Chelsea Museum, the Canadian Association of New York Foundation, and the Montreal Science Center.

Red Hook Orchestra on Style Me Pretty

Wanted to share a great writeup of Simona and Max's wedding that we played last August at Riverside Farms in Vermont.  It was a fantastic wedding.  We love playing at Riverside Farms, Liz and her staff are fabulous!  Thanks also to Jenny Moloney Photography and Paperweight Films for all of the great pics and video.  A little bit from the article:

From the Bride: We put a lot of work into making our wedding day special, but it was really our family, friends and vendors that made the weekend as incredible as it was.  Our best and closest friends and family stayed on the grounds with us (and at Amee Farm down the road), so they were embedded throughout every aspect of the event. Our caterers crafted the most delicious menus for the rehearsal, wedding and brunch, using flavors indigent to Vermont. Our florist went above and beyond from just a few pictures I pinned on Pinterest. Our band kept the dance floor filled all night. And our photographers and videographers, well, they captured our whole weekend beautifully without even being noticed by our guests! The Riverside team kept all of the vendors connected and made the entire planning process seamless. We really lucked out; we ended up spending lots of time on the phone with these guys, and even making some great friends!

  1. It's the perfect place for a reception -- before or after the event, with plenty of space for people to move around. The place at banquet halls in Miami itself is large with room for plenty of tables. There is a stage to the right side of the room, where your presenters can be seen or the bride and groom can take their vows.
